North American Service & Parts Focus Day, June 27, 2018
ISLA’s sixth Focus Day in the United States was kindly hosted by the Manitou Group at their Americas HQ in West Best (Wisconsin), with presentations from Barkawi Management Consultants, Crown, Manitou, Normet, NorthStar Battery, SPX FLOW, as well as Syncron who sponsored the event.

European Focus Day, June 14, 2018
Industrial 3D Printing of Metal Spare Parts
For a wide range of plastic materials, the vision of printing spare parts when (and where) needed has become reality. But Additive Manu­facturing (AM) using metal alloys is more challenging. The event hosted by Wärtsilä Italia in Trieste was an opportunity to discuss the current status of technology and how to explore potential applications of metal AM in the service supply chain. Presentations were contributed by APWorks (a 100 % subsidiary of Airbus), Barkawi Management Consultants, EOS, Siemens, and Wärtsilä, which is a global leader in technologies and lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets.

Service Leaders Summit 2018
on May 15th and 16th
10th European Conference on Aftersales Service and Spare Parts Logistics at the Hansen Palais Kempinski Vienna. Thought-provoking presentations from various industries were the basis for a fruitful discussion on “Meeting the expectations of B2B customer in the digital era“. Service Logistics Innovation Focus Day, October 12, 2017

Ideas Exchange, March 28, 2017
Regaining service market share through connected machines
This members & invitation-only event took place after ISLA’s Meeting of Members at BOBST near Lausanne, Switzerland. During a Competence Center visit, participants could enjoy a live demonstration of Remote Monitoring, Downtime Tracking, Remote Guidance with Connected Glasses, and other e-Services. The meeting was rounded out with presentations from by ABB, CLAAS, and Heidelberg as well as an open and fruitful discussion among a small group of high-level service managers.

Service Process Innovation Focus Day, October 26, 2016
Hosted by ISLA’s member Arvato SCM Solutions in Düren, Germany, event participants discussed how innovative solutions can optimize processes, improve quality, reduce cost and increase eficiency. OEMs such as BOBST, Diebold Nixdorf, MAN Diesel & Turbo and Siemens Healthineers shared their projects and lessons learned in leveraging the potenial of newly developed applications.

North American Service & Parts Focus Day, October 4, 2016
ISLA’s fourth Focus Day in the United States took place in Cincinnati (OH) and Florence (KY). While the meeting session with discussions and case studies from ABB, JLG, DMG MORI, Philips and Sears Home Services took place at The Westin Cincinnati, Meritor had invited to visit the company’s main aftermarket distribution center in the afternoon. The 440,000-square-foot facility in Florence (KY) accomodates 27 product lines comprising over 240,000 active part numbers.

Service Operations Focus Day, June 8, 2016
Hosted by ISLA’s member Katoen Natie at its headquarters in the Port of Antwerp, the event was an opportunity to learn about the service operations of leading OEMs such as AGCO, Global Garden Products, Kitchen Aid and Polaris. A discussion session as well as a behind-the-scenes tour through Katoen Natie’s operations for Kitchen Aid and Polaris completed the agenda.

SPL2025 Focus Day, November 8, 2012
Held at the Siemens Conference Center in München-Perlach, the event was focusing on the Future of Spare Parts Logistics: What will be the key challenges and success factors for spare parts logistics in 2025? North American Service & Parts Focus Day, October 4, 2012
ISLA’s first event in North America ever was hosted by truck and engine manufacturer Navistar at the company’s HQ in Lisle (IL), a suburb of Chicago. Part of the program was also a guided tour through Navistar’s Midwest Parts Distribution Center (PDC) opened in June 2012. With 860,000 square feet, it is the largest of 13 Navistar PDCs worldwide and stocks more than 85,000 parts. Speakers from the following companies contributed presentations to the event: AGCO, Barkawi Management Consultants, Navistar, and Philips Healthcare
